Words spun from sugar
lace up a cocoon
floating in the night air
the the full flower moon
waiting for stars
to settle like they’re dust
eyes fill with wonder
and wounds fill with pus.
A ghost orchid
and the full moon
I give them the gift
of a shared cocoon
a pearl drop pendant
and a whisper of silk
Dance with each other
’til the stars all wilt.
The garden unfurls
in downy plume fashion
with fluff in the air
a super bloom in action.
Florescent droplets
from a moonlight pipette
this quiet corner
is one deadly experiment.
They shrink and tremble
then open their petals wide
a jaw hanging unhinged
and screams come from inside
but bedrooms and gardens
are made of the same
could not bloom
in the silence which came.
